The Brazilian star Ronaldinho has just been released from prison by the Paraguayan courts. But, the Brazilian remains in Asuncion.

Almost a month after his detention, Ronaldinho has just been released from prison. According to Nigeria News, the Brazilian has been authorized to leave the prison. He had to resolve to pay an amount of $ 1.6M to end up under house arrest in a hotel rather than behind bars while awaiting trial. The former PSG player remains in the Paraguayan capital and therefore not yet completely free to move.

As a reminder, “Ronnie” was arrested along with his brother Roberto Assis Moreira for possession and use of false passports. He had applied for bail, but was denied it by the Paraguayan government. According to his entourage, he had gone to this country to promote a book and a campaign for disadvantaged children. In July 2019, his Brazilian and Spanish passports were confiscated for non-payment of taxes and fines.
