You Must Eat Of The Food You Feed Students – Gov. Matawalle Tells Teachers

Zamfara State Governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle has issued a fresh order in the state which will force all secondary and primary school heads to have a taste of the food they feed their students.

Naija News understands that Governor Matawalle gave the order after he carried out supervision on the Government Science Secondary School and Government Girls’ Secondary School Gusau.

It was said that the governor was furious with School Principals on his supervision, after he met the students eating substandard foods, despite all that was made available to the feeding officers in the state.

Hence, Matawalle directed that “principals and the feeding officers throughout the state must eat the same food they cook for their students or be dismissed”.

According to the governor, a lot of money has been invested into the school feeding programme by the state government, and hence, he ordered that the school principals must partake in the eating of every food to be served to the students.

He said; “Henceforth, my administration would deal decisively with such negative attitude by those entrusted with the responsibility,” he said.

“You must henceforth eat your food with your students and I will keep you on the watch so that those who violate the order would be dismissed,” Said Matawalle.

He noted also that the directive is applicable to all the government boarding schools in Zamfara state.

Meanwhile, Naija News has reported earlier that Hon. Lawal Liman Kaura, APC chairman in Zamfara on Tuesday, announced that the party has organised special prayer sessions in the three senatorial districts of the state against the internal crisis rocking the party in the state.
