The recent claims in some political quarters that President Muhammadu Buhari is not in charge of his administration has been thrown into the bin by the Buhari Media Organisation (BMO).

Speaking in a statement signed by the Chairman, Niyi Akinsiju, and the Secretary, Cassidy Madueke, MBO declared that President Buhari is fully in charge of his government.

In times past, allegations of an Aso Rock cabal that have taken over presidential duties rocked the Buhari administration.

Naija News recalls the recent case of a clash between Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Mongono has brought the issue back to the front burner.

Monguno accused Kyari, of usurping his powers and issuing orders to Service Chiefs in the president’s name over security issues in the country.

Amidst calls for President Buhari to demonstrate and convince Nigerians that he is still in charge of his administration, the BMO has alleged that those sponsoring ideas of the president’s incapabilities within his own organization are only perpetuating political mischief.

“The president is fully in charge, there cannot be room for discord in taking decisions on security matters,” it said.

“That PDP could make it seem like the President has abdicated his responsibilities and should resign is nothing but mischief taken too far.

“The President has never abdicated his duty on security matters to anyone and, like Presidential spokesman Garba Shehu once said, he is working hard to keep Nigeria and Nigerians out of the harm terrorists,” the statement added.

The statement said that there was an estimated 10 million small arms and light weapons in circulation in Africa and out of this, one million are believed to be in Nigeria.

It, however, blamed the arms proliferation on the crisis in Libya.
