Laureta Onochie, an aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has taken to her Twitter page so say that Nigeria under the current administration has improved in most especially in the area of security.

Lauretta stated that since President Buhari, who is her boss took over in 2015, security has improved, Military men have been equipped and Bomb blast has also reduced drastically.

Noting that before President Muhammadu Buhari took over in 2015, some states in the country have been suffering from attacks on the daily, most especially, in the northern part of the country, Bayelsa State and FCT.

She added that the Nigerian military men as at then fight battles using their bare hands, but now have all enough machinery to fight terrorists.

She tweeted,

“Every life we lost is a tragedy but let us not lose track of where Buhari took over the leadership of Nigeria.

“Bombs were exploding regularly; in the North, Abuja and got to Bayelsa. Soldiers were ill-equipped and detonating bombs with bare hands.”

Meanwhile, Naija News had reported that President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday morning presided over the national security council at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Naija News reports that those in attendance include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari; Minister of Defense Maj. Gen. Bashir Salihi Mahashi (Rtd.); Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; and the National Security Adviser (NSA) Maj. Gen. Babagana Monguno (Rtd.).
