A Judge of the Federal High Court, Ondo State, Justice Abdul Dogo, who was abducted by kidnappers has regained his freedom.

Naija News reports that Justice Dogo alongside his driver were abducted on Tuesday by unknown gunmen while he was returning to Akure from Abuja.

According to reports gathered the abductors made contact with the family and demanded N50 million to release their abductee.

It was also gathered that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) deployed the head of the IGP Intelligence Response Team, Abba Kiyari, to Akure over the incident.

Justice Dogo alongside his driver were reported to have been released from captivity around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

It could not be ascertained whether ransom was paid following the initial demand of N50 million by his abductors.
