Seun Onigbinde, Co-founder of BudgIT, has stated that his resignation from the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration had nothing to do with social media attacks he received.
Naija News reports that Onigbinde had on Monday resigned his appointment as a Technical Adviser in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
The BudgIT boss made the declaration known in a personally signed statement released to newsmen.
Recall the appointment of Onigbinde, a major critic of the President Buhari administration had attracted mixed reactions from Nigerians.
Some Nigerians felt he should never make an appointment with the same government he had openly criticised and worked against.
Reacting in a post on his Twitter page, Seun Onigbinde said his resignation had nothing to do with the bashing he received after the appointment.
“Kindly note that it is not the online anger or rage that made me resign.
“90% of the comments I had no chance to read. I believe an atmosphere of mutual trust is critical for whatever I dream of.
” God bless,” he wrote.
