An ex-coach of the Super Eagles said Senegal has "a number of tactical options."

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to sack Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr even if he wins the ongoing Africa Cup of Nation (AFCON) in Egypt.

According to SportingLife, senior NFF officials are not impressed by the German’s tactical ability.

It was gathered that top officials of the Glass House have directed their lawyers to look at the German’s contract.

The NFF is not impressed with the way the team is playing under Rohr despite been given all the support he required.

“Since Nigeria qualified for AFCON, our attackers have been clay-footed with the manager unable to evolve a system that will optimise the potential of the team’s strikers, who do well with the European clubs and in the Diaspora.

“We have given Rohr a free-hand to run the team. He picked his players for this competition unhindered. We had a few reservations about the choice of certain players. But we allowed him to go with all the technical issues, especially with the choice of players,” an NFF chieftain said.

NFF chiefs are not also impressed with Rohr after he fulled the match bonus role.
