1. President Buhari, Senate President Meet In Aso Rock

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, met with the Senate president President, Ahmed Lawan at the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital. Naija News understands that the Buhari walked the Senate President into a closed-door meeting after Lawan arrived the forecourt of the State House around 3.25pm.

2. Court Strikes Out Certificate Fraud Case Against AbdulRazaq

Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin, the state capital on Wednesday took a decision when it struck out the certificate forgery case filed against Governor Abdul Rahman AbdulRazaq. Naija News understands that the court dismissed the case after the claimant insisted he was withdrawing the case.

3. Speakership: Court Takes Final Decision In Case Against Gbajabiamila

A suit filed against the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila has been dismissed by Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja. Naija News recalls a man identified as Phillip Undie, had dragged Gbajabiamila before the court on May 21, 2019, seeking an order to sack him as a member of the House of Representatives and also stop him from contesting the leadership of the green chamber.

4. APC Breaks Silence, Speaks About Gbajabiamila, His Leadership

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed confidence in the 9th House of Representatives under the leadership of Femi Gbajabiamila. Naija News reports that the party said that the leadership of Gbajabiamila would support critical legislative intervention aimed at driving developmental, social and empowerment programmes in the country.

5. Zamfara State: We Will Contest Supreme Court Ruling – APC

The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has said that it would challenge the Supreme Court decision on the party and its candidates in the state. The Chairman of the party in the state, Alhaji Lawali Liman, made the disclosure at a press briefing held at the party’s state Secretariat in Gusau, on Wednesday.

6. I Left No Debt In Zamfara State – Former Gov. Yari

The former governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari, has claimed that he left no debt or liability for the new governor of the state, Bello Matawalle. Yari stated this while speaking at a news conference organised at the All Progressives Congress state Secretariat in Gusau on Wednesday.
