President Muhammadu Buhari has declared that henceforth May 29 will no longer be a public holiday

Through his Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, he made the disclosure to newsmen after the signing ceremony.

He explained that May 29th would only be handing over a date and working day.

The new law allows a public holiday to be declared on June 12.

Buhari assented the Public Holiday Amendment bill into law today.

Henceforth, May 29th will no longer be a public holiday but handing over the date and working day.
