Real Madrid close to signing Mendy from Lyon

Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy, will complete a €55 million ($62m, £49m) switch to Real Madrid next week according to reports by ESPN.

The Frenchman underwent an initial medical evaluation by Madrid officials in Paris this week and the transfer will go through after the latest round of international fixtures.

Mendy appeared in 30 Ligue 1 matches for Lyon last season, scoring two goals.

Inter close in on Barrella signing

Calcio Mercato has reported that Inter are closing in on a deal to sign Nicolo Barella from Cagliari.

It is understood that negotiations between the two clubs have reached an advanced stage, with the 22-year-old currently valued at around €50 million ($56m, £44m).

Last season, Barella made 35 Serie A appearances for Cagliari, scoring one goal and adding three assists.

Man Utd want Tielemans to replace Pogba

Manchester United will sign Youri Tielemans should Paul Pogba leave Old Trafford this summer according to The Independent.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move away from United during the current window, with Real Madrid and Juventus heavily linked with the French midfielder.

Tielemans currently plays for AS Monaco but spent the second half of last season on loan at Leicester and is considered an ideal replacement should Pogba decide to move on.
