EFCC Arrests Emmanuel Uzomah Of United Surgical Limited

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Monday, May 13, 2019, picked up Mr Emmanuel Uzomah, Managing Director, United Surgical Limited, Naija News can authoritatively report.

A source confirmed to this news platform that Mr Uzomah initially resisted arrest when operatives of the EFCC stormed his office on Monday morning to effect the arrest however the operatives had to employ the service of uniformed police officers who assisted with his arrest.

Naija News could not confirm if Mr Uzomah who was whisked to the headquarters of the anti-graft agency had been released as at press time on Tuesday, he was reportedly quizzed by the EFCC for failing to complete a contract awarded to him by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Meanwhile, the agency on Monday secured the conviction of Uchenna Samuel Nwosu (a.ka. Jackson Mendez) to six months imprisonment for internet fraud, impersonation and obtaining the sum of $500 (Five Hundred American Dollars) from an American, Carmen Alvarez, under false pretence.
