Federal Govt Declares Easter Break

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 19 and Monday, April 22, as break to mark the 2019 Easter celebration.

Naija News reports that the federal government through the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Georgina Ehuriah, in a statement quoting the minister of Interior, Lt.- Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, made the announcement on Wednesday in Abuja.

The minister was quoted to have on behalf of the federal government, enjoined all Christians to emulate the exemplary attributes of Jesus Christ amongst which are tolerance, love and peaceful co-existence.

Abdulrahman Dambazau urged all Nigerians, both home and abroad to use the occasion to pray for the peace, unity and progress of our great country, irrespective of diversity in religious beliefs and furthered to wish all Nigerians a happy and peaceful Easter celebration.

While speaking on the determination of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, Abdulrahman Dambazau called for massive support for this administration in taking the country to the next level.
