Atiku's Wife Speaks On Nigeria's Economy, Election, Atiku's Cabinet And More...

Titi Abubakar, the wife of Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, has called on Nigerians to listen to Aisha Buhari, Nigeria’s First Lady and vote wisely.

Naija News reports that Mrs Abubakar made this comment on Sunday, February 10, at a Town Hall meeting organized by Eko4Atiku movement which held in Obalende, Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial city.

This online news platform recalls that Mrs Buhari had urged Nigerians last year October to ‘vote wisely’ after lambasting the APC over the outcome of its primaries across the country.

“It is disheartening to note that some aspirants used their hard earned money to purchase nomination forms, got screened, cleared and campaigned vigorously yet found their names omitted on Election Day, these forms were bought at exorbitant prices.

“Many others contested and yet had their result delayed. Fully knowing that AUTOMATIC tickets have been given to other people.

“All Progressives Congress being a party whose cardinal principle is change and headed by a comrade/ activist whose main concern is for the common man, yet, such impunity could take place under its watch.

“Given this development one will not hesitate than DISSOCIATE from such unfairness, be neutral and speak for the voiceless.

“It is important for the populace to rise against impunity and for voters to demand from aspirants to be committed to the provision of basic amenities such as 1. Potable drinking water 2. Basic health care ( Primary Health Care centres) 3. Education within conducive & appropriate learning environments. Let us vote wisely,” she had said in a series of tweets October 7, 2018.

Tilting towards the same lane, the wife of the PDP Presidential candidate, who spoke without mentioning Aisha’s name, also told Nigerian women to carry out a door to door campaign for her husband, noting that “it is only” the former Vice President that can save Nigeria from her “mess”.

Her words: “Go house to house, go and tell those that have not heard that it is only Atiku that can do it for us,” she said.

“The people (APC) on the throne today said it with their own mouth that if you have stolen from PDP come to APC they will accommodate you and they have told us, even a woman (Aisha Buhari) like us have told us.

“She said before we vote, we should shine our eyes and the woman is even asking are there no men in Nigeria that can stand for Nigerians.

“Can you imagine? I don’t want to mention names but you people know where I am going,” Mrs Abubakar opined.

Dignitaries present at the event included PDP Eti-Osa House of Reps candidate, Omotesho Tony Bakare, convener of Eko4Atiku movement, Adewale Raji, one of the wives of David Mark, former Nigeria’s Senate President among others.

Meanwhile, Naija News reports that Nigeria’s Presidential election is slated for February 16 with Atiku Abubakar hoping to unseat President Muhammadu Buhari who is seeking a second term in office on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party.
