Biafra ‘Leader’ Nnamdi Kanu Moves To The United Kingdom

The self-proclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has relocated to the United Kingdom after spending over a year in Israel.

He was actively involved in a fight for the independence of the Biafra Nation in Nigeria escaped from the country after soldiers of the Nigerian Army stormed the Afara Ukwu, Umuahia country home resulting in a clash between IPOB supporters and the soldiers, leaving several dead.

On 19th October 2018, Mr Kanu resurfaced in Israel where he had been hiding since the attack by the Nigerian Army. However, in a twist of event, He announced yesterday that he had returned back to the United Kingdom where he holds citizenship.

He Tweeted: “I am back in the UK to continue our excellent work to liberate #Biafra from the pit of darkness, Nigeria. Fulani cabal with their Herdsmen, ISIS and Boko Haram must not be allowed to conquer us. Let Justice Onnoghen’s humiliation unite us as one Biafran family.

Mr Kanu had been away from his immediate family in over two years, he was in detention in Nigeria when his wife Uchechi, gave birth to their child in far away the United Kingdom.

Since return back to the limelight, Nnamdi Kanu has been running a weekly broadcast on Radio Biafra online, a medium through which he addresses Biafra agitators and followers  and he is expected to run a broad
