INEC Fails To Include APC Among Parties To Contest Rivers State Senatorial Election

Names of candidates for the national assembly election in Rivers state, has been released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

However, as court ruled, the logo and names of the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were not included in the list.

The names of the candidates were revealed in a list signed by Rose Orianran-Anthony, today.

Recall as earlier published by Naija News, INEC had been restrained by a federal high court in Port Harcourt from presenting Tonye Cole and Magnus Abe as governorship candidates in the elections.

The court also scraped all direct and indirect primaries conducted by the two factions of the APC in the state.

Obo Effanga, resident electoral commissioner in the state, insisted on following the court orders.
