Buhari Declares Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem, Open

President Muhammadu Buhari today, launched next year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem and Appeal Fund with N10 million.

The President launched the fund at the State House Villa, Abuja before the commencement of today’s weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The annual event appreciates the gallantry and sacrifices made by veterans in the first and second world wars, peace keeping operations around the world and internal security operations, including the ongoing campaign against terrorism in Nigeria.

Annually, January 15th is set aside for the celebration of Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
