Kalu Of Abia And Haruna Of Kogi Are Now Cleared To Contest For Senatorial Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has cleared the former Governor of Abia State, Uzor Orji Kalu and Yusuf Haruna to contest the senatorial primaries in Abia and Kogi States respectively,

Naija News recalls how the National leadership of the party had released names of members to state chapters and wards ahead of the party’s primaries and omitted Kalu’s name.

In a press statement by APC acting Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena released last night,  It said, “The National Working Committee (NWC) APC has cleared the former governor of Abia State, Dr. Uzor Kalu and Yusuf A. Haruna to contest the Party’s Senate Primaries for Abia North and Kogi Central Senatorial districts respectively”.

If the aspirants emerge winners, they will fly the party’s flag in their respective states in the 2019 senatorial election accordingly.

The party has equally cleared other aspirants intending to represent their senatorial districts in the forthcoming general elections and all is ready for the contest in the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.
