INEC Worked Against APC In 2019 Elections - Oshiomhole

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Governorship primaries for Lagos and Imo States, slated to hold on Sunday, 30th September have been shifted, the National Chairman of the Party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole reveals.

As it stands now, the Primary will hold on Monday, 1st of October.

The chairman, who attributed the postponement to logistic reasons, said the two states are scheduled to hold direct primaries to select the governorship candidate of the party.

In Imo, nine aspirants are in the race. They are Senator Hope Uzodinma, Uche Nwosu being backed by Governor Rochas Okorocha, deputy governor Prince Eze Madumere, Sir Jude Ejiogu and Barr. Chima Anozie.

Others are Dr. Chris Emenike Nlemoha , Sir Eche George Ezenna , Chukwudi Celestine Ololo and Air Commodore Peter Gbujie.

In Lagos State, however, only two candidates are vying for the party’s ticket, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and Babajide Sanwo-Olu are left in the race, after the third aspirant, Obafemi Hamzat withdrew for Sanwo-Olu.
