Biafra: Here’s What Amnesty International Said About 112 IPOB Women

The Amnesty International Nigeria has reacted to the release of 112 IPOB women detained by the Nigerian police.

Naija News had earlier reported that some IPOB supported were arrested and detained during a protest demanding for the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu and his parents.

An High Court in Imo, on Friday, ordered an unconditional release of the 112 IPOB women.

Reacting to the release of the freedom fighter, Amnesty tweeted:

“Freedom for #Owerri women came thanks to resilience of many activists, civil society organizations & pro bono lawyers.

“Together we can ensure that all Nigerians live with dignity. #Nigeria #Owerri112,”

The women were discharged and acquitted by Chief Magistrate Mrs A Katurumba about 3pm today (August 24, 2018) at a resumed hearing of the case.
