Gombe Flood Ravages Capital, Kills 3, Injures 8, Send Many Missing, While Wrecking 20 Houses

Heavy rain fall that flooded Gombe state, on Monday has left three persons dead, injuring eight and wrecking 20 houses in Jekadafari, Nasarawo, Tudun Wada  areas of the state capital.

The Executive Sectary of the State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, Danlami Rukuije, said the deceased include a well known Islamic scholar and second Imam of Al-Burhan Masjid in the state capital, Muhammad Bello. Rukuije said the late Monday evening downpour wreaked havoc for three hours.

He noted that other residential buildings, households items and properties, several livestock were also killed by the flood, while some persons are missing.
