President Buhari hosts US secretary of state, Rex Tillerson in Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, hosted the United States Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson at the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.

As earlier reported by Naija News, the two leaders met behind closed doors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

With the visit, Tillerson becomes the highest ranking official in the Trump administration to visit Nigeria.

There were earlier concerns Tillerson may suspend his visit to Nigeria due to the need to cut short his African tour to attend to ‘urgent work back home.’
