Naija News reported that Afegbua yesterday turned himself in at police headquarters yesterday in Abuja after the force declared him wanted for writing  a false statement against President Muhammadu Buhari on behalf of Babangida.

Afegbua therefore, sued the Nigerian police force of 1billion Naira over claims that he wasn’t formally invited for questioning before they threatened to arrest him.

However, after spending about 25 minutes in a closed-door discussion with the commissioner for police in charge of Inspector-General Monitoring Unit as well as the head of legal department at the Force Headquarters, Afegbua was released without charges.

Afegbua’s lawyer, Kayode Ajulo on Wednesday night, said, “We will honour the (SSS) invitation by tomorrow morning. We will be there, if that is how they want to run this country, we’ll see how far they can go with this.”
