Barely two days after the Nigerian Army announced that Boko Haram has been totally defeated, the insurgents have unleashed another attack on Kala village, opposite the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Dalori, Borno State, leaving one person dead.

Naija News gathered that one person was also injured in the attack which occurred on Sunday night.

An official of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mr Bello Dambatta, confirmed the attack to Channels TV in a telephone interview on Monday.

Dambatta, who is the Head of SEMA Rapid Response Team, said the deceased was set ablaze by the insurgents, adding that some houses were also burnt down in the village.

The SEMA official said officials of the agency are already at the scene while the injured victim has been taken to the Maiduguri Specialist Hospital.
