Buhari Condoles Victims Of The Kano Fish Market Fire Outbreak
President Muhammadu Buhari has reached out to the victims of the Yan Kifi market in Kano state, who suffered heavy losses following a fire incident in the market.
The fire reportedly destroyed several shops and containers and was described by President Buhari as “economically destabilizing for the victims.”
This is according to a statement released yesterday by Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to President Buhari on media and publicity in which he quoted the president as saying:
“This fire disaster is an incalculable set- back for the victims who have lost what they laboured for,” adding that he felt their pains with the greatest sense of empathy.
“Regardless of our social status, we are connected by our common humanity, and therefore, as a leader, I fully understand what this unfortunate fire incident meant for the lives of the victims and their families.”
The President, while sympathizing with the entire people of Kano State over the fire disaster, also prayed for restoration of all that has been lost to the fire outbreak.
