Breaking: Boko Haram Dislodge Troops, Takes Over Military Base In Borno State

Boko Haram invaded Amarwa village in Borno.

Boko Haram insurgents have unleashed another terror in Amarwa community in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno, leaving eight people dead and fourteen injured in bomb attacks.

Naija News gathered that the attacks were launched by two female suicide bomber who invaded the village at about 12pm and detonated the Improvised Explosive Device (IED) strapped to their bodies.

A resident Babagana Modu said the explosion initially killed five persons, including the two suicide bombers and left 17 persons injured.

Modu said the 17 injured persons rushed to the Borno State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri but three of them later died.

Bunu Bukar, the State Secretary of Borno Hunters Association told newsmen in Maiduguri, while confirming the incident said the village had suffered same attack before but it wasn’t as devastating as Thursday’s.

“The suicide bombing in Amarwa village of Konduga, and about 17 kilometres away from Maiduguri Township has claimed 5 lives including the two suicide bombers and about 13 other people were injured and have been evacuated to hospitals in Maiduguri for further medical treatment,” Bukar said.

A staff of the State Specialists Hospital, Mahmud Bukar, disclosed that three persons out of the injured people died.

He said: “We had a total of 17 injured victims brought into our hospital from Amarwa in Konduga this afternoon (Thursday) and unfortunately, we lost two even before they were operated upon and few minutes ago, another victim passed away in the theatre room. We now have three deaths, and fourteen injured victims in our hospital at the moment”.

“I was reliably informed by the relations of some of the victims that, three people, excluding the two suicide bombers lost their lives in the attack before the injured persons were evacuated to the hospital so, going by their calculations, we now have six deaths and fourteen injured.”
