Biafra: Buhari dares IPOB, refuses to cancel South East visit

President Muhammadu Buhari has re-affirmed his commitment to the infrastructural development of the country regardless of political or ethnic affiliations.

He promised that his administration’s developmental efforts would be felt in every nook and cranny of the nation.

Buhari was speaking against the backdrop of his scheduled visit to Anambra and Ebonyi states where he is expected to commission some landmark projects.

Maina: Arrest and arraign ex-pension boss – House of reps urges EFCC

The House of Representatives has directed that the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu arrests and prosecutes the former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina.

The green chair members gave the directive in a letter via the Clerk to the National Assembly, Mr. M. A. Sani-Omolori.

Four Policemen injured, 8 police vans damaged as students protest in Oyo

Pandemonium broke out on Monday, during a clash between the police and students of the Federal College of Agriculture, Moor Plantation, Apata, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, leaving four policemen injured and eight police vans damaged.

Confirming the incident, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, said the policemen were admitted to a hospital.

Biafra News: IPOB Sacks Nnamdi Kanu

Security agencies were in a frenzy of activities in Abuja from early Sunday when Radio Biafra, the controversial mouthpiece of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) returned to the airwaves with a 6.am to 7.am broadcast announcing the shocking sack of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as IPOB leader.

That announcement sacking Kanu was exactly what kept the security agencies worried, because it could mean that another arm of IPOB may have mutated just as IPOB mutated from Raph Uwazuruike’s Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB).

Senate retrace steps, recalls suspended Ali Ndume

Former majority leader of the upper legislative chamber, Senator Ali Ndume, who was controversially suspended about eight months ago, has been recalled by the Senate.

The Borno APC senator was placed on suspension following the recommendation of the ethics and privileges committee of the Senate headed by Chris Anyanwu which accused him of raising a false alarm capable of tarnishing the image of his colleagues.

Biafra: Keyamo reacts to IPOB sacking Nnamdi Kanu

Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Human rights activist Festus Keyamo has ridicule the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, over its declaration that it had sacked IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu as director of Radio Biafra.

Keyamo raised questions on why IPOB, who had alleged that the Nigerian Army had murdered  Kanu, announced his removal while “in the grave”.
