Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday raided the residence of a former Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) and Minister of Justice, Mr. Muhammad Bello Adoke after tip off by whistle blowers

The iron doors of the house were broken to access the building, while the raid lasted two hours.

Naija News learnt that the house was raided Adoke’s wife left the building a few hours before the EFCC operatives arrived for the raid.

However, raids on the residences of Adoke have not yielded any evidence so far.

After conducting a thorough search of the house, the operatives asked the security guard to sign a document confirming that no damage was done to the house, TheCable gathered.

Adoke’s residence at TheHague, the Nerthelands, was searched earlier in the year, but only $50 and €60 in coins were found.

Adoke is currently in court challenging moves by EFCC to arrest him over the $1.2 billion Malabu Oil affair in which officials of the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan allegedly received bribes.
