Osinbajo’s Reaction After Aircraft Made Emergency Landing

A major accident was averted on Thursday as the helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo developed a technical fault and had to make an emergency landing.

The Vice President was in Gwagwalada to attend the graduation ceremony of Nigeria Customs Senior Course.

The aircraft was used to convey Osinbajo to the venue of the programme but reports have it that during departure, the helicopter couldn’t ascend beyond the trees level, before it started emitting thick smoke and was forced to land on the same spots few seconds after take off.

Reacting to the development, Laolu Akande, spokesperson for the Vice President, said for technical reasons, Osinbajo couldn’t fly the chopper back to the Presidential Villa and was driven back to the Villa.
