Nigeria Drops One Place In Latest FIFA Ranking

Barely a week to the commencement of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, the latest ranking released by the world football governing body shows Germany will occupy top position going to the tournament.

The latest ranking was released on Thursday on FIFA’s official website.

The top ten position is occupied by Germany, Brazil, Belgium, Portugal, Argentina, Switzerland, France, Poland, Chile, and Spain.

Nigeria dropped to 48 in the World rankings and 7th in Africa ahead of the World Cup tournament.

The top ten position in Africa is occupied by Tunisia, Senegal, Congo DR, Moroco, Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, and Mali.

The Russia 2018 world cup kicks off on Thursday, June 14.
