Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, has recounted her last conversation with the late founder of the prestigious Africa Movies Academy Awards (AMAA Awards), Peace Anyiam-Osigwe.

This publication earlier reported that the Chief Executive Officer, AMAA, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, passed away at the St. Nicholas Hospital, Lagos, on Monday, January 9, after a brief illness.

Her colleague, Obi Emelonye confirmed her death, saying, “Thank you and good night dada Peace.”

The family of the late iconic producer also released a statement to confirm the death of the respected filmmaker who was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers, AMP.

Reacting to her death, Toyin Abraham took to her Instagram page to share their last social media chat where deceased promised to celebrate her latest movie, ‘Ijakumo’.

In the conversation, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe revealed she has been sponsoring her students to watch Toyin’s movie.

Toyin in the tribute promised to remain focused and continue to be her own competition.

She wrote: “Goodnight ma’am @digitalpmoglobal you chatted me on Thursday just to encourage me and told me you will pop champagne for me, you told me I’m so hardworking and focused. I know heaven gained an angel. Thank you so much ma’am and I promise to always be focus and continue to be my own competition goodnight mama”
