Super Eagles: Victor Osimhen Leads Serie A Team Of The Week

Nigeria international, Victor Osimhen was listed in the Serie A Team of the week.

The Nigerian has been the talk of the town with his electrifying performance for Napoli since his injury return this season.

So far this season, the 23-year-old has scored 9 goals and made 2 assists in all competitions for Luciano Spalletti’s men.

According to the football facts and statistics website whoscored.com, the Super Eagles talisman was named in the Serie A team of the week.

Naija News recalls that Osimhen scored a goal and contributed an assist as Napoli overcame a deficit to defeat Atalanta 2-1 to cling to first place.

However, his Nigerian teammate, Ademola Lookman gave Atalanta the lead from the penalty spot and brought level the scoresheet with Napoli.

Ten minutes to the end of the half-hour mark, the Super Eagles striker turned a provider for his team’s second goal as he laid a good pass for the Macedonian Midfielder, Elif Elmas.

The Solid performance by the Nigerian international in their clash against their rivals tipped him to lead the Serie A team for the week.

The Nigerian striker in a four-four-two formation was placed alongside the polish striker, Krzysztof Piątek.
