Super Eagles Duo Nominated For Serie A Player Of The Month

Super Eagles duo, Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman has been named among nominees for the Serie A Player of the Month for October

The two Nigerian International put up outstanding performances for their respective Italian clubs by scoring crucial goals.

In five games for Atalanta in October, former Leicester forward, Lookman, scored four goals against Empoli, Sassuolo, Fiorentina, and Udinese.

Naija News earlier reported that the Nigerian international stated that he would not stop giving such an impressive performance.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has been in an excellent shape following his recovery from the injury he picked up in September.

In three league games during the month of October, the 23-year-old scored five goals.

Osimhen notched two goals—one against Bologna and one in the 1-0 away victory over AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

The following weekend, he scored three goals in the 4-0 victory over Sassuolo.

For the individual prize, the pair will face off against Sergej Milinkovic-Savic,  Nicolo Barella, Rafael Leao

Meanwhile, Osimhen was listed both in the Top Five Leagues of Europe Team of the Week and the Serie A October Team of the Month.

The Super Eagles talisman had a standout October thanks to his six goals in five Napoli appearances.
