Obi Leads In Three Benue LGAs As Tinubu Wins Two, Secures Highest Votes

No presidential candidate has yet to submit a plan for addressing Nigeria’s socio-economic and security issues as the campaign for the presidency gets underway.

PUNCH claims that all contenders, with the exception of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, were reluctant to make their manifestos accessible for public inspection.

However, the former governor of Anambra State assured that his party’s manifesto was 95% complete and will be published in a few days.

Obi clarified that his policy proposal would be based on the Sustainable Development Goals, economic growth, and national security when he spoke on Arise Television on Wednesday.

“Our manifesto is anchored on the Sustainable Development Goals and that the key issues are security, unifying the country, ensuring our cohesion comes down to law and order, fighting corruption, making the country productive and creating jobs among others,” he stated.

In the camp of Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress, nothing has changed.

The director of media and communications for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Bayo Onanuga, told PUNCH that his principal’s manifesto had been fully completed and would be made public as soon as Bola Tinubu, the APC candidate, gave his approval.
