Police Arrested For Assaulting Female LASTMA Officer

Some operatives of the Nigerian police who assaulted an officer of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have been arrested.

Naija News recalls that the LASTMA Officer was attacked by the policemen at Yaba after she confronted them for taking one way.

After the attack the policemen refused to take her to the hospital instead took her to the station at Area C command in Surulere.

However, the state commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu, showed utmost dissatisfaction at the incident and stated that any form of indiscipline in the police force would not be tolorated, while also maintaining that the police officers involved in the incident would be duly investigated and punished.

In other news, police in Enugu have taken two brothers into custody for allegedly defiling a 9-year-old minor.

The suspects identified as Chima Nnamani and Michael Nnamani, allegedly sexually violated the minor who was residing with them.

The minor revealed that she had constantly told the boys biological mother that she was being sexually abused but she refused to act on her claims. Read more
