The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has accused Irigwe ethnic group of killing one of its members and injuring another in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to the State Chairman of MACBAN, Malam Nura Abdullahi, Irigwe youths allegedly beheaded one Musa Sale and injured Abdulsalam Nuhu while rearing cattle around Kwachudu on Sunday evening.

Reacting, the spokesman of Irigwe Development Association (IDA), Malison David, denied the allegation, saying it was unfounded.

Hours after the Sunday evening attack, two members of Irigwe were killed on Monday morning in Renwienku community in the same local government.

The spokesman of the Irigwe group accused the Fulani of launching the attack, but the Fulani group denied having hand in the attack.

Recall that the two warring groups had a peace meeting with Governor Simon Lalong on the need to eschew violence and embrace peace.
