Adeboye Issues Directive To Nigerians On Rising Insecurity

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Monday advised Nigerians to wear their face mask as COVID-19 cases increase across states in Nigeria.

The cleric stated this at the time some religious leaders are against Christians and pastors wearing a face mask to protect themselves from COVID-19.

Adeboye who took to his verified Twitter account wrote, “Stay safe, wear a mask!”

Recall that the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, on Monday, noted that reopening of schools, religious centres and businesses are the reason for an increase in COVID-19 cases in the country.

Mustapha stated this during the PTF media briefing in Abuja, on Monday.

Meanwhile, a pastor of the Love World Ministry, popularly known as Christ Embassy, Biodun Lawal, has tackled Christians and pastors who wear a facemask to protect themselves from COVID-19.

In a viral social media video, the Pastor Lawal who heads the Ghana branch of Christ Embassy said Heaven is ashamed of such people.

Lawal said, “If you still want to wear a mask, wear it but do not call yourself a man of God. He is the baby of God. We can’t even call you son. You are a baby of God. Son is too high. We can’t even call you a child of God.

“You can frown if you like. I have seen some people wearing a mask to pray inside the church. Heaven is ashamed of you. Inside the house of God, you wear a mask and you are praying to God?”
