Key Takeaways

  • Seyi Tinubu’s security aide, Olawale Dare, alleged that Jaruma demanded ₦100 million and threatened to accuse him of rape if he refused.
  • Dare made the allegations in an October 8, 2026 statement to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre, which SaharaReporters obtained.
  • Jaruma has since been charged with two cyberstalking counts over TikTok posts allegedly targeting Rayan Kamal and Seyi Tinubu, according to an October 23, 2026 charge sheet.

A security aide to Seyi Tinubu, Olawale Dare, has alleged that controversial sex therapist, Hauwa Saidu, better known as Jaruma, tried to extort ₦100 million from him after a brief sexual relationship.

Dare claimed that Jaruma threatened to report their affair to his boss and accuse him of rape if he failed to pay the money.

The allegations are in a statement he made to the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre on October 8, 2026, which SaharaReporters obtained.

Jaruma is known for selling Kayanmata, a group of traditional products associated with women’s intimacy and relationships, popular in northern Nigeria.

Dare, who said he had been on Seyi Tinubu’s security team since 2022, told police that a friend, Faizal, introduced him to Jaruma at an Abuja lounge in late 2025.

He said they spent the night together at his residence, and the following morning she disclosed her identity as a Kayanmata dealer.

According to him, she then asked him to put between ₦100 million and ₦200 million into her business, assuring him of returns of up to ₦700 million.

Dare said he declined because he did not have such funds.

The bodyguard further claimed that Jaruma later confided in him about a spiritual problem and asked to be connected with a herbalist or an Islamic cleric.

He said he could only recommend a Celestial church that offered counselling.

Dare added that on another occasion, she complained that her ATM card was faulty and asked for money, and he gave her between ₦30,000 and ₦40,000.

The relationship, he said, soon turned sour, with Jaruma allegedly threatening to tell Seyi Tinubu about their affair unless he paid her N100m.

“That she is going to inform my boss about what we had together and I must pay her 100 million naira,” he told the police.

Dare also alleged that she threatened to bring rape allegations against him, claiming that 12 women were ready to back her claims.

He said his friends had advised him not to report the matter at the time, and he chose to keep quiet to avoid giving her publicity, since she had not yet released the videos she threatened to publish.

In the statement, the bodyguard distanced himself from the alleged cyberstalking of Rayan Kamal, a businesswoman and Personal Assistant to Seyi Tinubu, whose complaint led to a separate police probe of Jaruma.

The sex therapist had reportedly alleged in several posts that Kamal had dated Seyi Tinubu for three years and that he established a business for her.

Dare described his relationship with Kamal as purely professional and denied passing her personal information to Jaruma.

“No, I did not conspire with anyone to cyberstalk her,” he said.

He also claimed that he blocked Jaruma after their first meeting and had evidence that she had been stalking him online.

“I have the prove that Ms Jaruma was cyber-stalking me all those time and I am ready to provide it to the police when requested,” he added.

Jaruma has since been charged with two counts of cyberstalking over TikTok posts allegedly targeting Kamal and Seyi Tinubu, according to a charge sheet dated October 23, 2026.
