VIDEO: Life Is Fragile – Actress Omeche Hospitalized After Suffering Leg Injury On Movie Set

Nollywood actress Omeche Oko is receiving medical treatment after she was involved in a serious motorbike accident while filming a movie in Lagos.

Naija News reports that the incident happened just three days before her birthday.

Oko shared a video of the accident on her Instagram page on Wednesday, showing the moment the crash occurred during a movie shoot.

According to the footage, the actress was riding on a motorcycle with fellow actor Victory Michael during a scene when the bike lost control and crashed into a pole at the filming location.

The collision left both actors injured.

Victory Michael reportedly hit his chest against the pole and briefly lost consciousness, while Oko suffered a broken leg.

Crew members and colleagues at the location quickly responded and rushed the two actors to a hospital for medical attention.

Details of the medical facility were not disclosed.

Reflecting on the incident, Oko described the experience as a close escape from death.

She spoke about the dangers actors sometimes face while carrying out their work and expressed gratitude that the situation did not end in tragedy.

She wrote on her Instagram page: “Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said No. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”

Following the accident, several Nollywood stars and film producers took to the comment section of her post to wish her a speedy recovery.

Among those who sent messages of support were actors Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Chizzy Alichi Mbah, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike, Tonia Aladese, Doris Ifeka and Onyi Alex.

Producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong also joined others in offering prayers and goodwill messages.
