‘I’ve Been Married For 48 Years, It Is Boring Now’ – Charly Boy Opens Up

Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charles Chukwuemeka Oputa, better known as Charly Boy, has joked about having a boring union after being married to the same woman for nearly five decades.

Naija News reports that Charly Boy, during an interview on Yanga FM, said marriage requires constant management, stressing that he and his wife still argue regularly despite the years they have spent together.

Charly Boy further explained that disagreements are a normal part of marriage.

He said, “I’ve been married to one woman for 48 years. It is very boring. Imagine eating the same egusi for years, it’s boring now.

“All marriages are management, including my own. Me and my wife be like Tom and Jerry. We dey quarrel every day and we will continue to dey quarrel and settle am.” 

While reflecting on his decades-long marriage, Charly Boy referenced the popular saying, “the devil you know is better than the one you don’t know.”

In other news, Charly Boy recently reacted to reports claiming that President Bola Tinubu visited detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu in prison.

In his post on his 𝕏 page, Charly Boy questioned whether any real discussion took place during the alleged visit.

The activist also criticized the situation, saying the government has not been able to address some security challenges while showing attention to Kanu’s case.

He went further to express concern about the state of the country, warning that Nigeria could face serious consequences if issues affecting national security are not properly handled.
