PRP Clears Donald Duke As Presidential Candidate

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has cleared former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, as its duly elected presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The party said the decision followed a review of the report of its primaries appeal committee.

In a statement, PRP National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq, said the former governor was validly elected as the party’s presidential candidate.

He said the appeal committee also upheld four other primary election outcomes.

The party also cleared 420 candidates across various elective positions ahead of the 2027 elections.

According to Ishaq, all other candidates were cleared to contest, except in Tarauni Federal Constituency, where the primary election was nullified.

The party said it remained committed to active participation in the electoral process and the principles of internal democracy.

“We remain committed to principles of internal democracy and service and to delivering a credible and transformative leadership for Nigeria,” Ishaq said.
