‘Don’t Die For Nigeria’ – Presidential Aide Slams Skitmaker Nasboi Over Patriotism Comments
A social media exchange has broken out between skit maker and musician Nasboi and presidential aide Segun Dada over comments concerning patriotism and service to Nigeria.
Naija News reports that the debate started after Nasboi shared a post on his 𝕏 page, stating that no matter how patriotic a person is, they should not die for Nigeria.
He wrote: “No matter how patriotic, please don’t die for Nigeria.”
Responding to the statement, Segun Dada criticized the entertainer and defended members of Nigeria’s armed forces.
He said soldiers and other security personnel willingly put their lives on the line to protect citizens and defend the country.
Dada argued that the sacrifices made by military personnel should not be dismissed, noting that many service members risk their lives daily to safeguard lives and property across the nation.
The presidential aide also took a jab at Nasboi personally, describing him as unsuccessful in his careers as a comedian, skit maker and musician.
He wrote: “Members of the armed forces give their lives for the nation without question to safeguard lives and properties. This failed comedian/failed skit maker /failed musician has the gall to rubbish the sacrifices because of the fighting men and women of the armed forces.”
