Recall that among other engagements, President Tinubu, during his stay in Lagos, received the President of the Republic of Benin, Romuald Wadagni.
The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the meeting between the two leaders.
Onanuga, who shared a video of the visit on his 𝕏 Account, said Wadagni came on a private visit.
He also attended the International Fleet Review at Eko Atlantic City Waterfront as part of activities commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Nigerian Navy.
The President commissioned three Nigerian Naval vessels: NNS Oloibiri, NNS Mambila, and NNS Gurara on the occasion.
In another development, former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has alleged that the recent kidnapping of pupils and teachers in Orire Local Government Area might have been orchestrated by the Oyo State government.
He alleged the complicity of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, in the kidnapping incident, which has continued to cause ruffles across the country.
Fayose made the allegation on Monday while speaking during an interview on Channels Television.
According to him, the kidnapping might have been planned to blackmail President Bola Tinubu.
Fayose, who had earlier praised Tinubu’s efforts in managing the affairs of Nigeria since he became President, said the timing of the Oyo kidnap raised suspicion about Makinde’s probable involvement.
