Babachir Lawal Retires From Politics, Describes Tinubu, Atiku As Devils (Video)
Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal, has declared that he won’t be voting for either President Bola Tinubu or former Vice President Atiku Abubakar in the 2027 elections.
He, however, declared that he is not sure of the candidate he would vote for, but is already sure of those he won’t vote for.
Naija News reports that Lawal made the declaration on Tuesday while speaking during an interview on TVC.
In his words, “I find myself between the devil and the devil, whatever I choose, I end up with the devil. Meaning that as bad as Bola Tinubu is right now, I believe Atiku will make a worse president than Tinubu.”
Lawal, who recently dumped the African Democratic Congress (ADC), also revealed that he has resigned from partisan politics.
He made the declaration when the host asked him specifically if he would be supporting the Peter Obi/Rabiu Kwankwaso ticket in the 2027 presidential elections.
According to him, he has retired from partisan politics and has only one vote.
“It doesn’t mean I have to support anybody. I’m now retired from politics. I’m not canvassing for votes for anybody. I have one vote to myself that I keep to myself. When the time comes, I might even vote for Sowore,” the former SGF said.
