Real Madrid Crowned Most Valuable Club Globally In 2026 [Top 30]

Real Madrid have once again been crowned the most valuable football club in the world, while Barcelona climbed above Manchester United into second place in Forbes’ 2026 rankings.

The Spanish giants were valued at $9.5 billion (£7.06bn), a sharp rise from last year’s figure of £6.75bn (£5.02bn). Barcelona followed with a valuation of $7.5bn (£5.57bn), while United slipped to third at $7.2bn (£5.35bn).

United generated revenue of $865m (£643m) during the 2024-25 season despite enduring a miserable campaign that saw them finish 15th in the Premier League and lose the Europa League final.

Liverpool stayed fourth on the list with a value of $6.2bn (£4.61bn) after winning the Premier League title, while Paris Saint-Germain climbed from seventh to fifth following their European triumph in the 2024-25 season.

Bayern Munich remained sixth at $5.7bn (£4.24bn), with Manchester City dropping from fifth to seventh at $5.5bn (£4.09bn).

Arsenal ranked eighth with a valuation of $5.4bn (£4.01bn), ahead of Chelsea in ninth and Tottenham Hotspur in 10th.

Arsenal could rise even further in next year’s rankings after ending their 22-year wait for a Premier League title and reaching Saturday’s Champions League final against PSG.

The Premier League dominated the list with 11 clubs in the top 30, more than any other competition. The league’s representatives also included Aston Villa in 16th, Newcastle United in 19th, Everton in 25th, Fulham in 26th and Brighton & Hove Albion in 27th.

Despite occupying the top two spots, Spain’s La Liga had only one other club in the top 30, with Atletico Madrid placed 11th.

Major League Soccer had seven clubs on the list, while Serie A contributed four sides. The Bundesliga had three representatives, with Ligue 1 and Portugal’s Primeira Liga contributing one each.

Forbes said the average value of the top 30 clubs now stands at $2.9bn (£2.15bn), marking a 21 per cent increase from last year’s record average of $2.4bn (£1.78bn).
