Barcelona Launch €100m Bid For Julián Álvarez, Atlético Madrid React

Barcelona have made a bold move in the transfer market with an official €100 million offer for Atlético Madrid forward Julián Álvarez.

The proposal is a straight cash deal with no add-ons and no players included, marking the first formal approach from the Catalan club for the Argentine striker.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, earlier today, May 29, Atlético Madrid has not taken kindly to the timing and structure of the offer, with tensions rising over the past 24 hours. Talks remain open, but no agreement has been reached.

The forward’s position adds another perspective to the situation, with Álvarez already communicating his desire to leave Atlético Madrid. That stance could prove decisive as negotiations develop.
