Mbappe Wins Best Player At Real Madrid Award, Man United Close In on Ederson

Kylian Mbappé has been named Real Madrid’s Mahou Five Star Player of the Season after another prolific campaign with the Spanish giants.

The French captain picked up the award for the second straight year following a remarkable goalscoring season for Los Blancos.

Mbappe finished the campaign with 42 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions. He also ended the season as LaLiga’s top scorer with 25 goals, earning the prestigious Pichichi Trophy.

The former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward also dominated in Europe, finishing as the UEFA Champions League’s leading scorer with 15 goals.

Mbappe joined Real Madrid from PSG in 2024 and has quickly established himself as one of the club’s key figures.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that the Brazilian midfielder has halted discussions with other clubs as negotiations continue between United and Atalanta.

The deal is expected to cost the Premier League side around €45 million.

Romano wrote on 𝕏: “Éderson has agreed personal terms with Manchester United and paused all talks with other clubs since last week.

“Atalanta and Man United have been in talks over a €45 m package deal for weeks.

“It’s up to Man United whether they want to proceed with the deal or not, and when.”
