Naija News reports that, in the 8-minute video shared on 𝕏 by the Special Assistant to Tinubu on Social Media, Segun Dada, the President is alleged to have joined the Christian religion at a church gathering.

However, Dada described the video as a lie, noting that Tinubu has not converted.

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has revealed details of his meeting with ex-Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, after the duo slugged it out at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primaries.

Naija News recalls that Amaechi had rejected the outcome of the exercise before Atiku was officially declared the winner, alleging that irregularities marred the process.

However, Atiku met with Amaechi at his Abuja residence on Thursday.

In a post on his 𝕏 handle, Atiku revealed that the duo had deep and honest conversations about the state of the country, the growing economic pain, insecurity, and the urgent responsibility on patriotic Nigerians to continue searching for solutions that can rescue our country from drift and despair.

Naija News reports that Omo-Agege announced the move in a statement on Thursday, saying the decision followed weeks of reflection, consultations and discussions with political associates, supporters and stakeholders.

The former senator, who recently dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC), thanked the leadership of the NDC for engaging him during the process.

He named the party’s leader and founder, Seriake Dickson, National Chairman Moses Cleopas, presidential aspirant Peter Obi, and NDC chieftain Rabiu Kwankwaso among those who reached out to him.

According to him, the party’s commitment to building a credible alternative convinced him that the NDC was the right platform for Delta State and Nigeria.

Omo-Agege described the NDC as a party built on inclusion, accountability, grassroots participation and true federalism.

The 2027 presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has called on President Bola Tinubu to step down from his position as the leader of Nigeria.

Atiku, in a statement on Thursday, linked the country’s insecurity challenges to the leadership failure of the Tinubu administration.

According to him, President Tinubu has failed in the responsibility of protecting the citizens of the country.

The ADC Presidential candidate expressed deep concern about the worsening insecurity in the country, stressing that it poses a direct threat to the nation’s education system and makes a mockery of the so-called Safe Schools initiative.

Atiku expressed embarrassment at the frequency with which terrorists are threatening citizens with impunity without an appropriate response from the government.

Atiku said that despite the prevailing challenges, the Tinubu-led All Progressives Congress (APC) administration continues to make empty promises.

The leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement and chieftain of the Nigerian Democratic Congress, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has fired back at Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf over remarks concerning claims that the governor was his political stooge.

Kwankwaso had, during a recent interview with Trust TV, described the governor as “Abba PA,” insisting that he personally raised him politically and eventually made him governor.

Reacting to the statement, Yusuf recently accused the former Kano governor of being disrespectful, noting that it was inappropriate for a 69-year-old man to refer to him as a boy despite the fact that he is 63 years old.

However, addressing supporters at his Miller Road residence in Kano on Wednesday, Kwankwaso maintained that several prominent politicians who rose through his political structure could not deny their past loyalty to him.

The former presidential candidate insisted that his comments were political in context and reflected the roles he played in the emergence of many politicians in Kano State.

The estranged couple had two children, all boys and in late 2025, their marriage hit a highly publicised crisis following allegations by Nwoko that the movie star was struggling with drug and alcohol abuse and required rehabilitation.

However, Regina Daniels swiftly debunked the allegations and accused Nwoko of manipulation, psychological control, and physical abuse.

Speaking during a recent livestream with Nigerian Tiktoker, Jarvis, Regina said she is no longer interested in marriage.

The thespian said she is still very interested in having more children, vowing that she must have a daughter.

10. Neymar Injury Blow Leaves Brazil Sweating Ahead Of World Cup Opener

Brazil’s World Cup preparations have suffered an early setback after Neymar was ruled out of the country’s upcoming friendly matches with a calf injury that could also keep him sidelined for their opening game of the tournament.

Neymar, 34, is expected to miss Brazil’s home friendly against Panama on Sunday and next week’s clash with Egypt in Cleveland, Ohio after scans confirmed a grade two calf injury.

Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar disclosed the extent of the problem during a press conference earlier today, May 28.

“Neymar underwent all the medical tests, which concluded with an MRI scan revealing a grade two calf injury, not just swelling. He is expected to be cleared in two to three weeks,” Lasmar said.

A grade two calf strain involves a partial tear of muscle fibres and usually requires rest and rehabilitation before a player can return to full training.

Brazil open their World Cup campaign against Morocco in New Jersey on June 13 before facing Haiti in Philadelphia and Scotland in Miami later in the group stage.
