Kanu Tips Arsenal To End Champions League Wait Against PSG

Former Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu believes Arsenal’s long wait for UEFA Champions League glory could finally end this weekend when they face Paris Saint-Germain in Saturday’s final.

Speaking to Flashscore ahead of the clash in Budapest, the ex-Arsenal forward said the north London side have shown they are ready to conquer Europe after ending their 22-year wait for the Premier League title.

Arsenal head into the final unbeaten in the competition this season under manager Mikel Arteta.

PSG, meanwhile, arrive as defending champions and have already knocked out English opposition, including Chelsea and Liverpool, during this campaign.

Kanu, however, feels the momentum has shifted in Arsenal’s favour.

“I told my friends that last season, we were struggling against Manchester City, and they went on to win the league. But this season, the table changed, and we have come out on top to win the Premier League title,” Kanu said.

The former Super Eagles captain added that Arsenal’s domestic success could be followed by European glory.

“In the same way, PSG won the Champions League last year, but I truly believe that this season it will be Arsenal’s turn to go all the way and lift the trophy, making it a historic year for the club,” he said.
