PSG Vs Arsenal: Harry Kane Predicts Champions League Final
Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, has warned that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) will be difficult to defeat when they face Arsenal in the Champions League final this weekend.
Naija News reports that the English Premier League side, Arsenal, will be hoping to make history on Saturday by winning the Champions League for the first time.
The Gunners head into the final full of confidence after ending their 22-year wait for the Premier League title this season under manager Mikel Arteta.
However, they face a major test against a PSG side aiming to retain the Champions League trophy they won last season.
Speaking ahead of the final, Kane said Arsenal had shown enough quality this season to be regarded as one of the strongest teams in Europe.
The England captain, however, noted that PSG’s status as reigning European champions made them a dangerous opponent.
“PSG are obviously reigning champions so of course they’re a difficult team to beat but I think Arsenal have shown this year that they can be one of the best teams in Europe, for sure,” Kane told Sky Sports.
“It will be an interesting final, we’ll have to see what happens.”
Arsenal’s appearance in the final marks another major step in their progress under Arteta, who has transformed the side into one of Europe’s most competitive teams.
The North London club will be looking to crown an impressive campaign with the biggest trophy in European club football.
Victory would also see Arsenal become European champions for the first time in their history, adding to the optimism already surrounding the club after their domestic success.
PSG, on the other hand, will be determined to prove their dominance on the continent by winning the competition for a second consecutive season.
The French giants enter the final with experience, quality and the confidence that comes with being defending champions.
With both sides chasing history for different reasons, Saturday’s clash is expected to be one of the biggest fixtures of the European football season.
