Millwall Reject Ipswich Bid For Nigeria’s Femi Azeez

Millwall have turned down a €20 million bid from Ipswich Town for Nigerian winger Femi Azeez amid growing interest in the in-form attacker.

Femi Azeez enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 campaign with the Championship side, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in 37 appearances across all competitions for the Lions.

Azeez, 24, was rewarded for his performances with a place in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season after emerging as one of Millwall’s standout players.

According to Football Insider via Football League World, Millwall are holding out for a higher fee as interest in the winger continues to rise.

A number of Premier League clubs are also believed to be monitoring the former Reading player, who still has two years left on his current contract at The Den.

The latest transfer development comes just days after Azeez made a stunning start to his international career with Nigeria.

The winger scored twice on his debut for the Super Eagles in Tuesday night’s Unity Cup semi-final win over Zimbabwe.

Azeez later revealed his long-term ambitions with the three-time African champions.

“I want to score more goals and have assists too. I would also like to create more chances for the team. I want to play at the AFCON and win the competition. It will also be great to play at the World Cup with Nigeria as well,” Azeez stated.

The winger is now expected to feature again when Nigeria face Jamaica in the Unity Cup final on Saturday.
